At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night in Montgomery County, TX, we come together as a community to celebrate, honor, and remember those affected by blood cancers. Friends, families, schools, corporate teams, and sponsors unite to shine a light in the darkness of cancer. The funds raised by this event support lifesaving research, advocacy, and vital assistance for blood cancer patients and their families. Join us in the fight to find a cure!

Opening Ceremony/Walk: 6:00 PM

How long is the walk? Approximately 1 mile

What is allowed at the event:

Only Service Animals
Is there a bag policy? No, there is not a bag policy.

Can participants turn in donations at the event? Cash and checks will not be accepted at the walk, but there will be ways to donate digitally the night of the event. All other donations can be sent to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Gulf Coast Region P.O. Box 772395, Detroit, MI 48277-2395

Will there be food? Food for purchase will be available on site. Please bring all forms of payment.

What if it rains on the event day? The in-person event is rain or shine.

Is the event appropriate for children? Yes! Light The Night is a multi-generational event! The Kids Zone will feature many different games and activities for children.

How can I pick up a lantern? All registered participants receive a lantern to be picked up at the Lantern Tent at the walk.

Do kids need to register? Children 12 years old and younger do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult to receive a lantern at the event.

How do I get a T-shirt? All registered participants who raise $100+ on their individual fundraising page will receive a t-shirt that can be picked up at the walk.

What incentives are there for reaching fundraising milestones?

$100 - Become a Champion for a Cure to receive the official t-shirt

$1,000 - Bright Lights will receive a long-sleeve shirt and get exclusive access to the VIP Tent at the event

It is highly recommended that all blood cancer patients or other immunocompromised individuals check with their healthcare provider before attending this event. While at the event, we urge our community to respect anyone’s choice to continue to take precautions like masking or social distancing.

There will also be a virtual event experience provided for any participants who would prefer to not join us in-person, held on November 19, 2024.
