Job Overview:

Trinity Episcopal Day School is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Assistant to support the financial operations of the school. This part-time role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting in budgeting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks Desktop knowledge, strong communication skills, a background in accounting or bookkeeping, and a passion for supporting a thriving educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and record financial transactions including payments, donations, and invoices.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and deposits.
Assist with budget tracking and monthly financial reporting.
Maintain accurate financial records using financial management software.
Coordinate payroll processes in collaboration with the school's administration.
Assist in preparing financial documents for audits, board meetings, and annual reports.
Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash for school activities and supplies.
Support the Head of School or school board with special financial projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.

Work Schedule:

Two days per week, Monday/Thursday 8:30 - 2:00
