Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality of merchandise, accurately inputting product details into our inventory app, and ensuring all items are shelved and ready for auction. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our auction process. You may be asked to help with auction pickup or other warehouse tasks from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect Merchandise:
Conduct thorough inspections of overstock merchandise, including electronics, appliances, clothing, and other consumer goods.
Identify and document any defects, damages, or discrepancies in the products.
Ensure items meet company standards for quality and condition before listing them for auction.
Data Entry and Documentation:
Accurately input product details, including descriptions, condition, and specifications, into our inventory app.
Ensure a minimum of 50 items are inspected and entered daily with good accuracy.
Ensure that product information is up-to-date and correctly categorized for auction listings.
Shelving and Organization:
Properly shelve and organize merchandise in order in the designated areas for auction.
Ensure items are labeled correctly and stored safely to prevent damage.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized inspection and storage area.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the warehouse and auction teams to ensure smooth handling and processing of merchandise.
Communicate any issues or concerns with products to the appropriate team members.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the inspection and listing processes.
Quality Control:
Verify that all merchandise is correctly labeled and ready for auction.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to product handling, data entry, and shelving.
High school diploma or equivalent. Current high-school students can be hired for part-time.
Previous experience in inventory management, quality control, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with data entry and familiarity with mobile apps; experience with online shopping applications (Amazon, Walmart, etc) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
