Represent the preschool during community events, information sessions, open houses, etc.
Assist teachers with parent conferences and writing reports as needed
Create and nurture a collaborative preschool climate where all feel welcome and respected
Maintain professional conduct of all staff members in alignment with the school’s guidelines and culture of kindness and extraordinary care
Engage with all staff members and encourage team-building and collaboration
Serve as a liaison between the preschool and Head of School
Manage the budget for the preschool in accordance with guidelines provided.
Maintain and track all compliance related to the school building, materials, staff, and all aspects of the preschool with early childhood governmental laws, requirements, and regulations.
Assist in creating and implementing school policies.
Maintain necessary documentation and records for all students in the preschool.

Enrollment:
Implement ongoing strategies to maintain current students and recruit new students to grow the preschool.
Provide tours to prospective families and promote a positive image of the entire school to all families.
Collect and maintain required records and documents for all new students

Faculty
Mentor teachers in implementing high quality Reggio inspired teaching practices in the classroom.
Encourage, plan and facilitate ongoing professional learning
Promote team-building and collaboration amongst faculty
Ensure that professional conduct is maintained that is aligned with the expectations and philosophy of the entire school.
Assist teachers with conferences and student reports as needed
Support staff with issues related to students and families as needed
Recruit qualified personnel and facilitates the on-boarding process
Perform regularly scheduled teacher evaluations and provide feedback

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Experience with the Principles and Practices of Reggio Emilia
Collaborative personality with strong problem solving skills
Provide at least 3 professional references
Must agree to a criminal background check

A Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education and 5 years of early childhood teaching experience required. Master's Degree + in Early Childhood Preferred.
The Preschool Director will be responsible for carrying out the school mission as well as the overall successful operation of the program. The Director will oversee daily activities, provide professional development to support the ongoing growth of employees, provide leadership in all areas of academic and non-academic programs and services, and support the school’s mission and continuous path of improvement. The Director will be responsible for the day to day as well as long-term planning and operating procedures, financial management and stability, all licensing and health and safety requirements, and address any issues that arise. Additionally, he/she will create a collaborative community including clear processes which promote open communication between students, parents, and staff.
