Administrative Assistant
The Office Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks of the law firm, including answering the phones, providing support to the Office Manager/Paralegal and ensuring that the firm remains in compliance with state legal regulations. The Office Assistant has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant primary duty is to communicate with the clients in a professional and clear way. This position’s primary duty is to answer the phones in a timely manner and will require great phone communication skills and writing abilities. Other duties are included below as well as duties assigned by the Office Manager.
• Complete administrative duties such as making copies, scanning, compose outgoing mail, answering & directing phone calls, and greeting clients
• Coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessary
• Draft documents and letters as directed by Office Manager
• Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence
• Correspond with counsel, court and clients
• Assist with accounting and billing
• Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow
Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• 2+ years' working experience as an office assistant/receptionist, preferable from a law firm
• Familiarity with MS Office, Google, and Dropbox
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong phone communication and writing skills. Computer savvy and comfortable in a fast paced environment. Able to perform on a multi/task basis.
$15.00/hour
