We need an Assistant Teacher for a PreK 4s classroom. The students are 4 years old.

Co-Teacher Job Summary: Works under the direction of the lead classroom teacher to assist in daily lessons and activities while keeping children safe and parents informed.

Co-Teacher Essential Functions:
• Assists in implementing curriculum activities and lesson plans.
• Follows program schedule for the classroom, outdoor time, meals, snacks, and special activities.
• Uses positive guidance techniques consistent with state licensing regulations; counsels children when social, academic or adjustment problems arise.
• Keeps accurate and current records of each child’s accidents, anecdotal records, and attendance.
• Under the direction of the lead teacher, helps to establish developmentally appropriate room arrangement, décor, and learning environment in the classroom, consistent with the program’s philosophy and goals.
• Ensures that daily list of activities is posted for parents.
• Assists in maintaining classroom bulletin boards.
• Has working knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards as they pertain to center operations.

*Experience working in early education *Maintain at least 24 hours of training annually *Remain current on CPR/First Aid certification *Must love interacting with children *Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly *Must be able to pass a background check *Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent *Must have legal authorization to work in the USA *Must be proficient in English
