Job Description

Acretis Revenue Group is a healthcare revenue cycle company seeking a Claim Specialist to assist our clients with obtaining reimbursement through claim follow-up and written appeals.

Duties are described as:
• Review and retrieve records, claims, remittances, and correspondence from multiple client systems;
• Contact payers, patients, and attorneys over the phone to discuss claims, case status, and payment negotiations;
• Prepare billing packets based on claim and payer specifics;
• Prepare draft appeals and denials based on claim specific argument and draft responses to clients, attorneys, and insurance representatives;
• Maintain, navigate and update multiple systems;
• Enter clear, concise, and grammatically appropriate activity notes into multiple systems;
• Monitor and communicate effectively internally and externally both written and verbal.

Criminal background check is required.

Compensation is $15-$20 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Skills Required

Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Proficient Mac and PC computer skills;
Typing speed minimum: 40 wpm (testing required);
Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams;
General knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle;
Understanding of health insurance claims process, including claims, explanation of benefits, denials and appeals;
Compliance and adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA

Compensation:

$15-$20, Based on Skills and Experience
