Nationally-Touring Live Show Features Scholastic’s Lovable Canine in a Big, Oversized Musical Adventure Set on Birdwell Island

The Woodlands, TX – For more than 40 years, Scholastic’s Clifford The Big Red Dog™ has charmed and delighted children with his engaging adventures and “Big Ideas.” Now, kids have a whole new way to experience the crimson canine with Clifford The Big Red Dog™ LIVE! Don’t miss this opportunity to see Clifford, during his first national tour, on stage at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion June 3 for two shows only – 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Clifford is generously sponsored by Administaff, Inc., Houston Family Magazine, Radio Disney and The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

Featuring a brand new story, Clifford The Big Red Dog™ LIVE! brings the well-loved characters from Birdwell Island – including Emily Elizabeth, Cleo, T-Bone, Jetta, Charlie and of course, Clifford – to a fun-filled spectacle for the whole family. There are even some new faces for Clifford to meet along the way. EmBARK on this musical journey with Clifford and company featuring memorable songs and characters kids love. Clifford The Big Red Dog™ LIVE! is sure to be a “pup”ular hit!

Come early and enjoy the pre-show activities including interactive activities and games with Radio Disney, hands-on activities from The Pavilion Partners and more. All pre-concert activities are free to anyone attending the performance. Gates open one hour before each show.

Reserved seating tickets for Clifford The Big Red Dog™ LIVE! are $35 for Big Dog Seats, $20 and $15 for covered reserved. Big Dog Seats include pit seating and a meet and greet with members of the cast prior to the performance. For details about the meet and greet, visit the Pavilion's Web site or Ticket Office. Tickets can be purchased at The Pavilion Ticket Office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on event days through intermission. The Ticket Office is located at the north entrance to The Pavilion at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands. Tickets also are available at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $5 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Ticket Office. Guests also can park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.

Clifford The Big Red Dog® is a “bone”afide children’s literary classic first written and illustrated by Norman Bridwell in 1963. In the fall of 2000, Clifford made his TV debut on PBS KIDS and the animated series rapidly has become one of today’s biggest hits. The TV show features the adventures of Clifford and his friends T-Bone and Cleo on dog-bone shaped “Birdwell Island.” The top-rated show has received numerous accolades, most notably multiple Emmy nominations three years in a row and the Humanitas Prize in the children's animation category for a ground-breaking episode about disabilities.
