Niquette Named to MCYS Board of Directors

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Montgomery County Youth Services has announced that John Niquette has been named to their board of directors.

"Montgomery County Youth Services (MCYS) is a private, not-for-profit counseling agency committed to providing quality social service programs to children and families in crisis throughout Montgomery County."

"We are excited to have John join our board," noted MCYS Board Chair Steve Sanders. "He is a Conroe native, active in our community, and he brings very valuable experience and insight to the agency."

Niquette is the Crime Stoppers Coordinator for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. After receiving his state certification as a Peace Officer in 1999, he worked in both the jail division and patrol division before he joined Criminal Investigations with his current position.

Niquette graduated from Conroe High School in 1996. He holds approximately 1800 hours in TCLEOSE training, including Certified Residential Crime Prevention Officer, Certified Mental Health Officer and Crisis Negotiations Training.

Montgomery County Youth Services, a United Way Agency, provides youth and family counseling, substance abuse education and prevention services, community outreach programs, Face to Face mentoring program and a residential program for homeless youth throughout Montgomery County. MCYS also is a beneficiary of the Community Development Block Grant.
