Game on: Mall Hosting Wii Games

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 6, 7 and 8, Wii Games: Summer 2010 is bringing the fun of active gaming on the Wii™ console to The Woodlands Mall. The nationwide competition invites Wii fans who are at least six years of age to team up with friends and family and to get up and get playing with others in a fun-filled gaming showdown like no other.

The Wii Games: Summer 2010 event will be held at the following times in Future Court near JCPenney:

Friday, August 6: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, August 7: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 8: noon to 6 p.m.

The Wii Games: Summer 2010 competition will focus on five activities, including Basketball in Wii Sports Resort™, Bowling in Wii Sports Resort, The Hula Hoop® challenge in Wii Fit™ Plus, clearing a Coin Grab level in New Super Mario Bros.™ Wii and kart racing in Mario Kart™ Wii.

To become a part of of the Wii Games: Summer 2010 competition, interested individuals can register at the link below. A limited number of players will be able to register the day of the event. Each player under 19 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign the player's registration form at the event location (forms should not be signed before you arrive). Children between the ages of six and 12 can only participate as part of an Adult and Child team or a Family team. See website for full competition rules.

Wii Games: Summer 2010 culminates in a national championship September 4 and 5 in Los Angeles, California. The top 90 teams from events across the U.S. plus six additional teams selected in an online sweepstakes will battle it out for the championship.
