THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Financial Group (TWFG), one of the nation’s largest independent insurance agencies, has extended its “Our Policy is Caring” slogan and philosophy onto its web site – www.twfg.com. The new user-friendly site features clear and contemporary graphics designed to enable visitors to click on their target area of interest in less than two seconds, according to Richard “Gordy” Bunch, president and CEO of The Woodlands Financial Group.

Current and prospective clients created heavy traffic on the previous site which had become complex while TWFG was growing to manage insurance programs for almost 200,000 clients, according to Bunch. Web activity increases daily from 318 TWFG offices and 3,000 affiliated agents in 38 states. In addition, the home office in The Woodlands provides insurance products to 49 states. The company is ranked number 5 of the Top 50 nationally in Personal Lines coverage; and 30th of the Top 100 agencies in Property and Casualty insurance. “I want to make insurance transactions as quick and simple as the major e-commerce sites online,” Bunch said.

“I have always felt a personal responsibility to each and every one of my clients, literally going door-to-door to distribute checks after hurricanes and other disasters in my early days,” he said. Those personal actions led to the creation of the company’s prominently displayed slogan: “Our Policy is Caring.” The entrepreneur feels that “the internet is today’s ‘door-to-door’ call, because you are interacting with clients directly in their homes or offices.” “And, of course,” he said, “that is evolving to become even more personal with the rapid growth of personal devices like cell phones and tablets – and maybe even wrist watches.”

The Home Page of www.twfg.com features “Start a Quote,” a proprietary program that brings the request instantly to the four-screens at Bunch’s desk and to key management staff. More than 100 pages explore the multi-faceted operations of TWFG which are displayed just below the “Start A Quote” link with “Find an Agent,” “Become an Agent,” and “Report a Claim.” Another three options constitute what Bunch describes as almost three separate web sites: “Personal and Business Insurance,” “Our Companies,” and a section for “Professional Agents.” Headers at the top of the page provide a link to “About TWFG” featuring in-depth information about the company and its founder.
