Local Nonprofit Ruby’s Home for Good Celebrates Five Years of Serving Our Community
MAGNOLIA, TX -- This fall marks the five-year anniversary of the inception of Ruby’s Home for Good. The Magnolia-based nonprofit improves the lives of horses in need and promotes mutually beneficial relationships between people and horses. Program activities bring together horses and people in a safe and positive environment, with an equal emphasis on the wellbeing of both the two- and four-legged participants.
To date, the organization has served our veterans’ community with free horsemanship activities for military-connected individuals as well as their family members. Participants have shared tremendous benefit from their time with the horses, noting increased peace and joy, decreased anxiety, better sleep, improved interpersonal skills and relationships, and more. Small group and private sessions are available.
This summer, the organization expanded to include a Youth Horsemanship Program. Learning about horses is a great way for kids to have fun and become more confident while improving social, cognitive, and communication skills. Participants enjoy a small group environment, one on one time with their equine partner and progressive skill development.
As a 501c3 nonprofit, Ruby’s Home for Good relies on community support through donations and sponsorships to offer these impactful programs. Donations can be made at www.rubyshomeforgood.org; for more information, contact Erin@rubyshomeforgood.org or (281) 944-5471.
On Saturday, October 1st the organization is celebrating its five-year anniversary with a fundraiser event at Unity Park in Magnolia. The event includes visiting with miniature horses, face painting, balloon animals, family games, great food, a silent auction and more. Buy tickets through the website or contact them directly for more information.
