‘Twas the week before Christmas, and all through The Woodlands, adventures and activities abounded. We’ll be featuring a special ‘Christmas Eve and Christmas Day’ event guide later this week; in the meantime, here is a list of our top five favorite things to try before Santa takes off from the North Pole.
Monday - Friday, December 18 - 22
Cordovan Art School is offering Winter Break Art Camps for Kids Ages 5-12 Years in what is billed as the best Art Camps in The Woodlands! Full Day Camp runs from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Mon-Fri). They offer Morning Only & Afternoon Camp also. Lunch is from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. They ask you to please send campers with lunch, a water bottle, and 2 snacks. Extended Care Available 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required, so act now!

Attention, teens! Join the South Regional Library – next door to the Pavilion – for a Hogwarts themed Yule Ball holiday party tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. Try some butterbeer, snacks, crafts, and games with prizes… and, of course, dancing! Costumes are encouraged. This is a teen event, so only those aged 13 - 17 are allowed to participate. Parents are encouraged to register now for each individual attendee for a personalized surprise!

Painting With a Twist has the perfect pre-Christmas celebration for couples looking for something fun and different. They’re hosting a special his-n-hers event: A Holidate (You Choose) – Divas & Dudes Night. BYOB: The studio is a BYOB establishment so bring your date and some favorite snacks and drinks of choice to enjoy. You must be at least 21 to consume alcohol in the studio.

City Park – just south of Sawdust Road near the Exxon campus – is pulling out all the stops this winter. December welcomes back holiday Train Rides, which chug along around City Place Park’s main pond. Children are encouraged to climb aboard for a complimentary ride on Friday and Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. and Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m.

Galveston native Hamilton Michael Loomis is an American electric blues guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer, and he’s hitting Dosey Doe - The Big Barn tonight for his special Christmas Concert. One of his eight albums released to date, Ain't Just Temporary, peaked at number 7 in the Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart a few years back, and he’s guaranteed to bring a hometown Americana feel to Christmas Eve Eve. Be sure to show up early to enjoy a scrumptious full-course meal!
