Shenandoah City Council Meeting Update

SHENANDOAH, TX – Shenandoah City Counceil recently met for its June 26 session. In attendance were Mayor John Escoto, Mayor Pro Tem Charlie Bradt (Position 4), Frank Robinson (Position 5), Jim Pollard (Position 3), Ted Fletcher (Position 2), and Ron Raymaker (Position 1). Items discussed included:

Block Party Trailer Discussion – Council discussed questions, concerns, and logistics of the proposed Block Party Trailer. Discussion only; no vote required.

Metropark Public Improvement District Ordinance – This is a yearly update of the Metropark Public Improvement District (PID) service and assessment plan. Council voted 5-0 to adopt the ordinance.

Wine and Malt Beverage Permit for Game Show Battle Rooms – Planning and Zoning has reviewed this application and recommend approval for a special use permit for a wine and malt beverage permit. This does not include late hours request. Council voted 5-0 to adopt the ordinance.

Ratification of the May 2024 Accounts Payable – Council voted 5-0 to ratify the accounts payable.

Via the City Attorney, a statement was read regarding the cybersecurity incident that occurred on December 26, 2023.

Executive Session – 7:45 p.m. - 8:20 p.m. to discuss Deliberation Regarding Economic Development Negotiations. No action was taken.
