Leadership Montgomery County announces speakers for Montgomery County Leadership Summit with Keynote Speaker Andre Ware

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Leadership Montgomery County (LMC) is excited to unveil the speakers for the 2024 Montgomery County Leadership Summit, presented by Entergy Texas.

This year’s summit, open to all business and community leaders, embraces LMC’s Core Value: “It’s We, Not Me.” The event, slated for Friday, August 23 at the Jett Center at Woodforest Bank Stadium, will emphasize teamwork and collaboration, showcasing speakers who inspire personal growth and highlight essential skills for collective success.

Headlining the summit is former Heisman Trophy winner and ESPN college football commentator, Andre Ware. A native Texan, Ware's renowned career includes winning the 1989 Heisman Trophy and setting 26 NCAA records. He has been with ESPN since 2003, contributing to “College Football Live” and other studio shows, and serves as an analyst for Houston Texans radio.

Other distinguished speakers include:

  • Grant Cooper, Montgomery High School Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator. Cooper will discuss leadership, sharing the strategies he uses to inspire and guide his players. Under his direction, the Bears have excelled both athletically and academically. His mentorship has not only strengthened the football program but also helped many players transition successfully to college, the military, or trade schools.
  • Dr. Christine Gravelle, Director at the Center for Executive Development, Texas A&M University. With more than 15 years of leadership development experience, Dr. Gravelle designs and facilitates solutions for organizations to build high-performing teams and execute strategy. Her work includes international consulting on strategic planning and organizational development.
  • Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) David Yebra, Director of Training and Leader Development Division, Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Lt. Col. Yebra has developed award-winning leadership programs and served 24 years in the U.S. Army, earning four Bronze Star Medals. He created a 9-month High-Potential Employee Leadership Academy, now in its 10th year.
