Registration is open for Woodforest Bank Charity Run taking place this September

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Woodforest National Bank has announced that registration is now open for the 14th annual Woodforest Bank Charity Run, taking place at Heritage Park in downtown Conroe on Saturday, September 21.

This year’s race will include a 10L run / walk sponsored by Insperity Invitational, and a 5K run / walk sponsored by Convergint. Additionally, there will be the popular ‘Barkley Shoe Dash’ for kids ages 5 - 7 and 8 - 12. Participants for this race will start with one shoe, dash 50 yard to retrieve and put on their matching shoe from a pile of all racers’ footwear, then dash back 50 yards to the finish line.

The event is hosted by Woodforest National Bank to benefit Woodforest Charitable Foundation. After the races, the participants, spectators, and volunteers will enjoy a family-friendly Post-Race Party with music, food and beverages, vendor tables, fun jumps, snow cones, and an awards ceremony. Net proceeds will directly benefit Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Registration fees vary: for the 10K run / walk, the cost is $40; the 5K run / walk is $35, and Barkley Shoe Dash is $10. Registration includes a commemorative dry-fit t-shirt. Please note that registration fees will increase after August 31. Races will start at staggered times: the 10K starts at 7:40 a.m., the 5K at 8 a.m., and the Dash at 9:15.
