Woodforest Charitable Foundation donates $1.4 million to local charities

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- A group of local charities from Montgomery and Harris Counties that share the common mission of serving our neighbors in need were recently awarded with donations totaling $1.4 million from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

During a recent “Charity Partnership Reception” hosted by the Foundation at Woodforest National Bank in The Woodlands Town Center, the charities collectively receiving donations included:

  • Crisis and Housing: Abundant Harvest Kitchen, Community Assistance Center Montgomery County, Compassion United, Hope Beyond Bridges, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Mission Northeast, Montgomery County Women’s Center, Mosaics of Mercy, Society of Samaritans, The Haven, Northwest Harris County Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise of Fort Bend, Family Promise of Lake Houston, Family Promise of Montgomery County, and Northwest Assistance League.
  • Health: Children's Miracle Network, The Community Clinic (Interfaith Community Clinic), The Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation, Inspiration Ranch, Lone Star Family Health Center, Texas Children's Hospital (Jan & Dan Duncan NRI), The Rose, and TOMAGWA (Tomball Clinic).
  • Hunger Relief: Bread Partners of Washington County, Families Feeding Families, Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, Galveston County Food Bank, House of Amos, Houston Food Bank, Humble Area Assistance Ministries, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Montgomery County Food Bank, Humble Area Assistance Ministries, Meals on Wheels Montgomery County, Montgomery County Food Bank, Pearland Neighborhood Center, and Southeast Texas Food Bank.
  • Special Needs: Bridgewood Farms, Special Angels of The Woodlands, and Texas New Community Alliance (New Danville).
  • Youth Intervention: Angel Reach, The Arbor School, Assistance League of Montgomery County, Boy's and Girl's Country, Candlelighters, Cassidy Joined for Hope, CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, Children's Safe Harbor, Interfaith of The Woodlands (Youth Program/School Supplies), Love Heals Youth, Tamina Community Center, YES to YOUTH (Montgomery County Youth Services), YMCA, Youth- Reach Houston.
