Pokémon League

Saturdays, September 7 & 21 from 1:30-3:30 PM

Love playing the Pokémon card game and discussing all things Pokémon with fellow fans? Join the Pokémon League every first and third Saturday, sponsored by the Magnolia City Pokémon Gym. Bring your favorite deck, play the card game with other fans, and talk about all things strategy. This event is open to all ages and skill levels. Reading Education Assistance Dogs

Tuesday, September 24 @ 5:00 PM

The Reading Education Assistance Dogs will be here! Pick a book and share it one on one with a furry friend from Pets with a Mission! This program is for kids ages 4-12 and their parents. Tween and Teen D&D Club

September 7th,(2pm-4pm) in the Community Engagement Area downstairs.

Calling all adventurers! Join our D&D Club for tweens & teens. Make friends, fight monsters, and embark on epic quests! Beginners welcome. Ages 10-17, 18 if in high school. This program is hosted by a community partner.

Homeschool Hangout

Every Wednesday, 1-2:00pm in the Teen Space

Teens! Hang out, play games, and do something awesome at the library! We have tablets, a huge digital table, game consoles, and more for FREE use. Soldiers Supplies Donations

All month long, 1st floor elevators

We will be collecting donations all month long to be sent to Boots for Troops, a local non-profit that mails care packages to troops deployed across the globe. Items needed for donation include dry snacks, toiletries, books, candy, ground coffee, letters of encouragement, etc. Donations can be dropped off at the library’s 1st floor elevators in the donation box. Google Docs offers tips and templates for resumes, and more! In this lecture, we’ll demonstrate how to make the most of Google Docs templates for resumes. Templates are a great option for resumes because they take the guesswork out of formatting! We’ll review some of the helpful features of Google Docs, like sharing, reviewing, and commenting privileges, as well as how to save and share your doc as a PDF. Finally, we’ll go over some dos and don’ts for resume content.
