Pet of the Week - Sock Monkey

MONTGOMERY, TX -- Meet SOCK MONKEY. A lovable 2 year old American Wirehair Cat, owned by Kimberly Baird, who runs the Montgomery Quilt Company in Historic Montgomery. Sock Monkey was born near the shop and taken in by Baird, and the two bonded. Her mother Liberty, is an emancipated cat that roams her points in Historic Montgomery. Sock Monkey also roams the shops of the old town as well, and is known by different names at various places she visits. Sock Monkey is MCN’s first quilting cat. She attends to the kids of shoppers, and makes friends with all who visit. And at the end of the day, Sock Monkey and Liberty meet at the front door to the shop for nightly dinner.
