THE WOODLANDS, TX –LABOR DAY IN THE WOODLANDS EVENT CANCELLED, FIREWORKS AT 8:30 P.M. WEATHER PERMITTING.

The Woodlands Township has announced its Celebrate Labor Day at Waterway Square event for Labor Day, Monday, September 1 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Water

Due to ongoing lightening in the immediate vicinity of the event, the event has been cancelled as of 8:05 p.m. Fireworks are planned for 8:30 p.m. weather permitting.

The Woodlands Township Labor Day in The Woodlands event at Waterway Square, originally scheduled for Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 5 to 9 p.m., has been delayed due to inclement weather that could affect the safety of spectators and performers. The event is now scheduled as follows:

6 p.m. - Live Music by Rule 77 (Variety)
7 p.m. - Youth Pie Eating Contest
8 p.m. - Adult Pie Eating Contest
8:55 p.m. - FIREWORKS*
*Time approximate and weather permitting.

The Woodlands Township has announced its Celebrate Labor Day at Waterway Square event for Labor Day, Monday, September 1 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Waterway Square. This event is free and open to the public.

The event will include live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainment, pie eating contests, and fireworks. Local variety band Rule 77 will provide the live music from 5 - 6 p.m., followed by two pie eating contests – a slice for the kids and an entire pie for the adults – starting at 6 p.m. At 8:55 p.m., the impressive fireworks display will commence.

The pie eating contest is sponsored by House of Pies - The Woodlands, with eligibility requirements and rules available at https://www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/DocumentCenter/View/18548/2024-Pie-Eating-Contest-Rules. Other sponsors include Dave & Buster’s and Main Event.

There will be free craft activities while supplies last, and complimentary face painting and balloon art. A beverage booth will be available to purchase a variety of beverages. Please consider supporting local restaurants before or after attending the event. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited.
