MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- This week’s Veteran is Matt Biggins, who served in the U.S. Army from 1987-1991. Matt served at Fort Hood as a radio communication specialist, and was in a training accident in 1988, being badly injured when a Humvee fell on him from the waist down. He spent the next 24 months recovering from his injuries. When he was discharged, Matt got into the food service industry, where he mentored and trained under chefs. Biggins is the head chef for Danello’s Catering, which graciously serves breakfast to the Lone Star Honor Flight Veterans Group once a month. Biggins is well respected amongst the Veterans of the group, who constantly laud him and Danielos Catering for serving them each month. Some say for a man with such big hands, Matt makes the softest eggs, which he does. He is a great chef, and the guys at 105 highly recommend him. Good Luck Matt, and Congratulations on being ‘Veteran of the Week’.
