Veteran of The Week - Robert Putnam

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- This week’s Veteran is Robert Putnam, 106, who served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945. Putnam served on Navy Destroyers in the Mediterranean Sea during World War II. Following his service, Robert had a long career with Caterpillar before moving to Texas. Mr. Putnam loves to sing, and was always involved with choirs over the decades. He leads the Lone Star Honor Flight Veterans Group (105) with ‘God Bless America,’ and ‘Our National Anthem’ each week. Good Luck Robert, and Congratulations on being ‘Veteran of the Week’.
