Employee Arrested for $90K Theft and Forgery Spanning Several Years

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- During July, 2024, the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office Detectives began an investigation of an adult male, identified as Leonel A. Chirinos-Bello, who had been accused of stealing from his employer for the past several years by altering/forging his paychecks.

Detectives reviewed various banking records which indicated that the suspect had stolen approximately $90,000 USD between the years of 2021 to 2024 by altering the amounts on his paychecks and depositing them into his bank account, as well as selling company property directly to consumers.

On October 1st, 2024, Leonel was arrested and charged with 2nd degree felony Theft, and 3rd degree felony Forgery. Leonel was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail where he is currently confined.

Constable Ryan Gable’s Detectives will continue to seek out and hunt those who commit crimes against the people of Montgomery County.
