THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Rowing Club of The Woodlands delivered an outstanding performance at the recent Head of Oklahoma Regatta, kicking off their fall season with remarkable success. As the event celebrated its 20th anniversary with its unique night racing and impressive fireworks display, the club reinforced its reputation as a powerhouse in the rowing community.

Medal Haul Across Multiple Categories

The club's athletes demonstrated exceptional prowess across various events.

In the single events:

Enya Krathaus: Gold (Women's Novice 1x), Silver (Women's Youth 1x)

Harry Godin: Silver (Men's U17 1x)

Francisco Andrade: Gold (Men's Collegiate 1x), Silver (Men's Open 1x)

In a remarkable achievement, the club swept the Men's Novice 1x podium:

1. Ethan Pickard (Gold)
2. Michael Leatherman (Silver)
3. Elliot Godin (Bronze)

In the team events:

Men's Youth 4x: Silver (Mariano Gomez, Liam Barnes, Harry Godin, Evan Bebak)

Upcoming Prestigious Events

Head of The Charles (Boston, MA): Enya Krathaus (Women's U19 Single) and Harry Godin (U17 Men's Single) will represent the Rowing Club of The Woodlands from October 18-20. This world-renowned event attracts over 12,000 competitors globally.

Head of the Colorado (Austin, TX): Both junior and master teams are preparing for the 40th Anniversary Pumpkinhead Regatta on October 26. The event will feature costume and team tent contests, adding a festive flair to the competition.

New Partnership Elevates Training

In an exciting development, the Rowing Club of The Woodlands has partnered with Cameron Buchan, an international sculling champion. Buchan, known for his achievements in British racing championships and social media presence, conducted a training camp during Spring Break 2024. This collaboration, supported by local coaches Joe Flynn and Richard Kelvin, aims to enhance the team's performance and nurture the growing rowing community in The Woodlands.
