LSGCD announces public hearing on adoption of Ground Water Management Plan

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD) has announced that it will be meeting to discuss adoption of the Groundwater Management Plan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the District’s office located at 655 Conroe Park North Drive, Conroe, TX, 77303.
According to a public notice that went out to stakeholders and citizens of Montgomery County, "Groundwater Management Plans are a critical tool for ushering in policies that preserve, conserve and protect our groundwater resources. The Plan will establish guidance on those efforts and to prevent water waste. LSGCD developed this plan to define and implement the needs and supply within Montgomery County to manage our groundwater. The District will serve the public interest as outlined in Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution by developing, promoting, and implementing water conservation, augmentation, and management strategies to both conserve and utilize groundwater resources for the benefit of the citizens, economy, and environment of Montgomery County."
