Traffic Alert -All northbound main lanes of I-45 at SH 242

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- All northbound main lanes of I-45 at SH 242 are shut down due to a crash involving an unoccupied patrol vehicle and multiple civilian vehicles. Traffic is being diverted off at the SH 242 exit. DPS is investigating. The deputy was not injured, but several citizens have been transported to the hospital. Expect major delays and seek alternate routes.
