The Chevron Championship commits portion of ticket sales to support The Woodlands-area teachers

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Chevron U.S.A. Inc. announced today that it will contribute $5 for each purchase of a general admission Spectator Pass to support public and charter school teachers in The Woodlands and surrounding communities through Chevron’s Fuel Your School program.
Chevron will donate the funds raised through ticket sales to DonorsChoose, a nationwide nonprofit organization whose mission is to make it easy for anyone to help a teacher in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need to learn and grow. DonorsChoose will use Chevron’s donations to fund classroom project requests from eligible schools in The Woodlands, Montgomery and Spring, Texas.
“Chevron strives to empower people to achieve their ambitions and meet their full potential,” said Karen Rawls, Chevron’s Senior Advisor of Social Investment. “Educators play important roles in their community and through programs such as Fuel Your School, they’re given additional resources to make lasting impacts in the lives of young people. We are thrilled to pair it with The Chevron Championship here in the Greater Houston area.”
Since 2010, Chevron has collaborated with DonorsChoose to support over 42,000 teachers in the communities where it operates, bringing over $60 million of resources to the communities that it serves.
All public and charter K-12 schools in The Woodlands, Montgomery and Spring are eligible to participate in the program. Schools participate by submitting eligible classroom project requests to DonorsChoose.org for approval from now through April 30, 2025. Chevron will fund up to $1,000 per eligible classroom project request on a first-come, first-served basis.
