Wildfire Update – Latest Status as of 2:30 PM

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- UPDATE: 2:30 PM: The fire has expanded slightly to 2420 acres and current containment is estimated at 20%.
No new evacuations and ground crews and air resources are continuing to improve containment lines.

Officials continue to monitor and respond to the wildfire affecting our area. As of 12:30 PM, the fire has spread to 2,386 acres and is currently 20% contained.

Current Status:

• Acreage: 2,386 acres
• Containment: 20%
• Evacuations: No new road evacuations have been issued at this time.

Firefighting Efforts:

• Aerial suppression efforts are underway, with six strike teams and one task force actively engaged.
• Local first responders remain on-site, working tirelessly to protect lives and property.
