THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On March 25, 2025, the Montgomery County Regional Auto Theft Task Force assisted the Woodlands Patrol Division with an investigation that began with a call about a suspicious vehicle.

A witness reported seeing a vehicle moving between two secured parking garages off Riva Row, following other vehicles to gain access. The patrol unit located the suspicious vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, deputies observed all occupants were wearing hoodies, and one had a ski mask around his neck. They also discovered multiple tools commonly used for stealing and burglarizing vehicles, in addition to professional key programming devices inside the vehicle, which can be used to program and steal cars.

At the conclusion of the investigation, 18-year-old Christopher Brantley from Spring and 18-year-old William White from Houston were arrested for Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

This successful operation was a result of effective collaboration between the patrol division and the auto theft task force that is funded in part by the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority. We also thank the vigilant citizen who promptly reported the suspicious activity that lead to the arrests of both suspects.
