Quick Response by The Woodlands Fire Department Contained Garage Fire in Creekside Park

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 1:23 PM today, The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Gracenote Place in the Village of Creekside Park. Truck 108 arrived first on scene and found a vehicle on fire inside the garage.

Firefighters initiated an offensive attack and were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Fortunately, the residents of the home had safely evacuated prior to the fire department’s arrival.

Following extinguishment, crews conducted thorough checks for fire extension and worked to ventilate smoke from the home. Thanks to the rapid response and coordinated effort, fire damage was contained primarily to the vehicle, with some smoke and fire control-related damage to the garage.

An investigation determined the cause of the fire to be accidental, resulting from an apparent electrical short within the vehicle.

TWFD was assisted on scene by the Spring Fire Department. Their combined efforts helped minimize further damage and ensure the safety of nearby residents
