THE WOODLANDS, TX – Victory for Veterans – a locally based nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide suicide prevention and reduction for veterans and first responders by healing invisible wounds through holistic modalities and providing year-round Warriors for Life Online Peer Support – recently held its annual ‘Warriors for Life’ motorcycle ride to raise funds and awareness for veterans in need.

More than 70 motorcyclists, classic car enthusiasts, and community supporters came to participate in the organizatin’s 149-mile fundraising ride and dice run, designed to educate and fund critical mental health resources and suicide prevention initiatives for veterans and first responders. The ride’s origins are in Denver, Colorado, starting eight years ago.

An excess of $2,100 has been raised in this year’s event so far. Funds raised will directly support Victory for Veterans’ mission to combat the rising suicide rates among veterans and first responders, ensuring they have access to critical wellness centers and peer support services with the development and expansion of wellness centers nationwide, providing essential services to those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country and communities.

For those who missed the ride this year – which had been postponed a couple of months due to weather – or who wish to assist the organization’s mission to connect with the community, VFV’s Warriors For Life (WFL) program is an online peer support group.

“It's a space for veterans, first responders, caregivers, and active service members to connect and support each other,” said VFV organizer Morgan Lindsay.

Other services include the organization’s annual Memorial Day event that honors our heroes by placing roses on their graves across twelve cemeteries, including the Houston National Cemetery. The 2025 event marks the fourth year of the Flower on Every Grave event. Fifty cents of every dollar donated goes to help support efforts to reduce veteran suicides.
