2025 Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas, Start - Global Celebration of Athletes

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough welcomed more than 2,000 participants from 37 countries and all 50 states to this year’s Ironman event. Justin Kendrick, Senior Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, highlighted the vibrant atmosphere, supported by over 3,000 volunteers, including 300 medical professionals dedicated to athlete safety. Linda Nelson, Chairman of the Board for Visit The Woodlands, emphasized the crucial role of EMS, fire departments, and other first responders in ensuring the event’s success. Kevin Schultz, Race Medical Director, outlined the extensive medical services available throughout the course. Meanwhile, athletes shared their excitement and personal journeys, underscoring the honor and significance of competing in this world-renowned event.
