Thomas' Journey to Hope

When Thomas arrived at BridgeWay, he had just been removed from an abusive home. Everything felt new to him—even a simple van ride brought joy. BridgeWay quickly became a place of comfort and care, offering him his first taste of a loving, supportive environment.

Though CPS eventually placed him in a long-term foster group home, Thomas couldn’t stop thinking about BridgeWay. He missed the understanding staff, the warm atmosphere, and the sense of family. After a traumatic incident at his new placement, Thomas pleaded to return to what he now calls “home.”

Today, Thomas is back at BridgeWay, where he feels safe, loved, and grateful for the small things many take for granted. Every conversation ends the same: “I love you. I love BridgeWay."
