Woodlands Weekend Weather and Events – March 7 - 9 – Back to the 50s

Welcome to The Woodlands, where it gets up to 80 degrees on a Friday and won’t be able to crawl out of the 50s a mere 48 hours later. We’ll throw in some rain for good measure to keep the weekend interesting.
We’ll hang at our 80-degree high for a couple of hours this afternoon – with a couple of degrees thrown in due to the humidity that is only for a brief moment dipping in between two periods of full saturation – and the clouds should wander away in time for you to catch a colorful sundown. There will be a ‘sweet spot’ in the middle of the evening before the rain starts to fall, so take advantage of it with some family time at Rob Fleming Recreation Center for Family Bingo Night, only $5 a head!
Each passing hour of the night, the rains will increase bit by bit. Fortunately, they will remain merely showers, and the grand total of precipitation will be only less than two-tenths of an inch. Despite the heat of Friday, the low will get down to 65, and the mercury will only get back up to the mid 70s for the Saturday high. Most of the day will be spent under complete cloud cover, but around sundown the clouds and rains will both start to ease. Cheer up your evening with the comedy, magic, and ventriloquism stylings of Andy Gross at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn.
The rains will add to the frigidity in the air as the overnight low gets all the way down to 47, and mounting winds won’t help keep the chill today. By dawn on Sunday morning, the precipitation will be gone, but the thermometer won’t be able to recover, and the high will only get up to about 58 (but feel like 54) under mostly cloudy skies. The weather may be dank and gloomy, but you can overcome it at The Goose’s Acre Irish Pub as they celebrate 25 years of St. Baldrick’s volunteers uniting to conquer kids’ cancer; see how YOU can be such a hero.
As you hit the hay Sunday night, you can expect a week’s worth of mostly sunny skies and some temperatures that will end up being outright summerlike before the end…
