Join Children’s Safe Harbor for their second annual Sporting Clay Tournament, a fundraising event dedicated to supporting child victims of abuse and trauma. The event will take place on Friday, February 28, from noon to 4 p.m. at Blackwood Sporting in Conroe, TX.

Children’s Safe Harbor is a nationally accredited nonprofit committed to achieving justice, healing, and hope for children affected by severe physical abuse, sexual assault, child sex trafficking, neglect, and trauma. As the only organization of its kind in the community, it works closely with law enforcement, child protective services, and medical and behavioral health professionals to provide child-centered investigations and healing services.

“We look forward to hosting our second annual tournament, which is expected to surpass last year’s success,” said Robert Austria, event co-chair, board member of Children’s Safe Harbor, and Regional Manager of Woodforest National Bank.

Donna Hansen, JD, event co-chair, board member of Children’s Safe Harbor, and Felony Division Chief of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, added, “This tournament is not only a fun and engaging team-building event but also a crucial fundraiser that directly benefits abused and traumatized children.”

The tournament will include 72 birds, three boxes of shells, lunch, dinner, drinks, and a silent auction. Teams of four can register for $500, and individual tickets are available for $125. Participation is limited to 100 shooters.
