Are you looking for a way to make a difference in your community? Join us at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park to collect litter and conduct an audit for the Keep Texas Beautiful Texas Litter Database. Participants will learn about how a litter audit works, the effect of pollution on our water and get a chance to be citizen scientists. After learning about the project, participants will collect litter and then sort and analyze findings to identify the types and quantities of litter in their sample.

The Keep Texas Beautiful Texas Litter Database Project is focused on cleanups and audits of litter collected. The results provide a snapshot of the litter in our community and are reported into the database to guide targeted messaging to reduce the presence of litter.

Early Registration is encouraged to ensure enough supplies and equipment for everyone. Walk-up registration the morning of the event is welcome.

Please Note: A signed waiver is required for all participants. Participants under the age of 18 must have a guardian sign their waiver form; if walking up the day of the event, the guardian must be present to sign.

Participants are encouraged to wear close-toed shoes and pants. All equipment will be provided, including gloves, litter pickers and trash bags.
