Best Buy to Showcase Entertainment Technology at Home & Garden Show
Seventh Annual Fall Home and Garden Show at The Woodlands
Saturday and Sunday, August 29-30, 2009
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- From new wireless technology to LED screens only an inch thick, Best Buy will showcase the latest in televisions, audio systems and home entertainment technology at the Seventh Annual Fall Home & Garden Show at The Woodlands. Best Buy is one of the sponsors of the event to be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, August 29 and 30.
“It’s really a fun time for everyone,” Paul Sanders, general manager of Best Buy in The Woodlands said. “It’s a chance for people to see the new technology, play with it, ask questions, and see how it will look in the home.”
Best Buy’s participation will include live demonstrations as well as living room and home theater displays. The company will also offer free home consultations, setting up appointments for a Best Buy representative to meet with the client at their home and discuss options that meet the homeowner’s vision.
“Right now, with an uncertain economy, many customers are forgoing long vacations and instead investing in their home -- making it a fun place to gather with family and friends,” Sanders explained. “That may mean creating a home theater room or building an outdoor music system for poolside barbeques.”
Sanders said that entertainment technology continues to evolve. For example, televisions on the market today can serve as computer monitors, part of a music system, and even family photo albums for uploaded pictures. They can make it possible to enjoy theater-quality movies or experience a football game in life-like clarity in one’s own home.
While Best Buy offers state-of-the-art technology, including most high-end systems, at a good value, Sanders said the best thing about Best Buy is their knowledgeable staff.
“We aren’t concerned with just selling a product,” Sanders said. “We want to sell the right product for the customer. Plus we can install that product and maintain it. Our goal is to create an entertainment system that truly fits an individual’s lifestyle and home.”
