Two big companies moving to Woodlands, constructing new buildings

THE WOODLANDS, Texas –– Two big companies are set to become tenants off Waterway Square and will construct a new, 11-story building for their offices.

Waste Connections, Inc. and Nexeo Solutions are going to be moving into the new development.

Waste Connections has leased 49,929 square feet at 3 Waterway Square Place, an 11-story, 234,000-square-foot Class A office building to be built in The Woodlands Town Center.

Nexeo Solutions, previously announced as a tenant for 64,046 square feet, has increased to 106,710 square feet. TWDC has also secured $43.3 million in financing from Texas Capital Bank and Woodforest National Bank for construction of the building.

The 3 Waterway Square building is at the corner of Lake Robbins Drive and Woodloch Forest Drive in the heart of The Waterway Square District. It was designed by Elkus Manfredi of Boston, Mass.

Construction is set to begin soon with completion slated for early 2013.

“With leasing activity so strong in The Waterway Square District, we now have plans underway for construction of up to three new Class A office buildings totaling up to 1 million square feet and an adjacent parking garage,” said Alex Sutton, co-president of the development company. “The new development will be constructed on a 9-acre site located immediately west of the McKesson Building between Timberloch Place and Woodlands Parkway.”

Waste Connections, a solid waste services company, announced in December that it would be relocating its corporate headquarters to The Woodlands.
