Parks and Recreation offers family-friendly springtime activities
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Springtime is on its way, and with it comes a variety of celebrations for the whole family to enjoy. Pre-registration is required for these events, and same day registration will only be allowed if time and space permit.
These events kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, with the Kayak Egg Hunt, where each adult/child team will kayak down the waterway in search of eggs. The fee for this event is $45 for residents and $50 for non-residents per team.
At 7 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, families are invited to have a great time at the Lodge at Rob Fleming Park with snacks, crafts, music and a flashlight egg hunt. This event is for all ages, with those five years and younger hunting eggs first, followed by ages six and up. The fee for this event is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents per participant and $5 for each additional sibling.
The following two days, March 28 and 29, 2015, families are offered the freedom of choosing from a variety of festivities at Rob Fleming Park, including Breakfast with the Bunny at 9 a.m., Lunch with the Bunny at 1 p.m., and Dinner with the Ducks at 5 p.m. All of these activities include egg hunts and crafts. These events are for all ages, and the fee is $40 for a resident family of four, $45 for a non-resident family of four, and $7 for each additional family member.
