MOBILE, Alabama - Woodlands residents, Joe and Tari Witcraft are on their way to Mobile, Alabama, after being notified this afternoon, that their daughter, Jaimie Witcraft, was involved in a multi-vehicle accident which included an 18-wheeler.

Before heading out of town, Joe posted on Facebook…

“Please pray for my daughter Jaimie Witcraft she just was in a car accident in Alabama and is now in the trauma unit critical condition Mobile Alabama hospital we are headed that way now without any news.” Residents and business owners in The Woodlands are familiar with Joe and Tari Witcraft’s business, The Woodlands Courier Service, frequently seen on the streets of The Woodlands.

It was reported that at least ten people were injured and transported to area hospitals after the multiple vehicle accident that occurred on I-10. The Mobile Police Department had originally reported one fatality, but later retracted that statement and said the victim is in very critical condition. The individual in critical condition is believed to be Jaimie Witcraft, according to Joe Witcraft’s post. In addition to the 18-wheeler, six other vehicles were involved. It was reported that a red car involved in the wreck was completely crumpled underneath the tractor trailer. A vintage red Mustang (believed to be a 1966 model) is posted on Jaimie’s Facebook page.

One witness who was involved in the pileup is reported the media that she noticed the truck swerving for several miles...that the the truck driver appeared to be distracted, and his head was bobbing up and down. The truck collided with her vehicle which then caused the pile-up. The truck driver, who was traveling with a child in the passenger seat, was later seen on the side of the roadway talking to authorities. Both he and the young boy appeared to be okay.

Jaimie is a graduate of The Woodlands College Park High School, and is now attending the University of Alabama, studying nursing on an Air Force scholarship.

The many friends, neighbors, and customers of The Woodlands Courier Service, which includes The Woodlands Township and numerous law firms, are asked to keep Jaimie Witcraft in their prayers.
