Congressman Brady Celebrates Local Students Appointed to Military Academies
THE WOODLANDS, TX - This past weekend, Congressman Kevin Brady hosted his annual Military Academy send-off breakfast to celebrate the students from the Eighth Congressional District of Texas who received appointments to the U.S. Service Academies.
“This is always one of my favorite events,” said Congressman Brady. “Although our celebration looked different this year in order to practice social distancing, the accomplishments and triumphs of these students will always be something to celebrate.”
“These exceptional young people have put in years of hard work to receive these prestigious appointments,” he added. “I wish each and every one the best of luck on their next adventure!”
This year’s featured speaker was Lt. Col. David Yebra, a West Point Graduate and Army veteran who served our nation for 24 years. He was awarded four Bronze Star Medals during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is now Director of the Training and Leader Development Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
