THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The “C” Club Facebook page touts that voters have trusted the powerful conservative organization’s endorsements for more than 50 years. Maris Blair, local attorney and community advocate, is now on that list. The “C” Club’s one-page list of candidates endorsed for the March 1, 2022 primary election have been posted on the Club’s web site at www.cclub.org. Maris Blair is one of the few Montgomery County races in which the “C” Club has become involved. The list also includes Texas Senators Brandon Creighton and Paul Bettencourt, Congressman Dan Crenshaw, and congressional candidate Morgan Luttrell.

Blair, an attorney, former teacher, and Executive Director of Conroe ISD Education Foundation, who is challenging incumbent representative Steve Toth, has also garnered support from several public education advocacy groups. Texas Classroom Teachers Association, Texas Parent PAC, and Association of Texas Professional Educators are on Blair’s list of supporters and donors. Other groups boosting Blair’s candidacy are Republican Voters of Texas, Preserve The Woodlands PAC, and Responsible Government PAC.

“I am running for this position for many reasons, not the least of which is that almost 70% of The Woodlands voters were against incorporation of our Township. I helped lead that fight, while our incumbent representative pushed for incorporation,” states Blair.

“The Texas Border has been called a crisis. I call it a border catastrophe, causing numerous crises in human trafficking, deadly drugs, violent crimes, voter fraud, and stress on our local educational, law enforcement, healthcare, and first responder systems. We must be a strong Texas in this fight,” Blair adds. “I am passionate about public education, and will fight against any legislation that will harm, weaken or destroy our public school system. Our children, our grandchildren and future generations deserve the right to a free and advantageous public school system as the Texas Constitution guarantees. Because my opponent has been rated ‘unfriendly’ to public education by the group Texans for Public Education, I am running to be a champion for our schools and school children.”

“I am proud to call this area my home,” declares Blair. “My family is deeply rooted in Montgomery County. I believe I know the pulse of the people. My desire is to provide them with effective representation that reflects their values and concerns both for their families and for the community as a whole. As the only native Texan in this race, my commitment to a bright future for our state is inborn.”

Dr. Ann Snyder, The Woodlands Township Board member, states, 'Maris Blair possesses a deep understanding of the people of District 15, a quality that will make her an excellent State Representative for our area. In the successful campaign to save our Township from incorporation in 2021, Maris was a leader alongside me and many others at the polls and in the community. She has energy, intelligence, integrity, common sense and dedication.'
