Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands Returns as the Presenting Sponsor 2024 YMCA Summer Triathlon Series for Kids

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Family YMCA is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Summer Triathlon Series for Kids and Teens, will once again be Presented by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. For more than 20 years, the YMCA has hosted the Annual Kids Triathlon. Due to the popularity of this race, we are providing youth additional opportunities to enjoy the sports of swimming, biking and running. Race #2 in the series will be July 20th.

Proceeds from the event will help us to create a stronger community, double the impact, and bring about meaningful change. Swim/Bike/Run for a CAUSE.”

We are excited that the YMCA is continuing the series in 2024 and that we can contribute to such a worthy cause.”

Swim+Bike+Run = FUN! Triathlons are an exciting sport for children because it involves three activities that every child enjoys – swimming, biking and running. Race #1 in the series was held on May 18 at the Holcomb Family YMCA in The Falls of Imperials Oaks for ages 7 – 15 attracting more than 115 young athletes.

Race #2 will be Saturday, July 20. The 21st Annual YMCA Kids Triathlon, for Ages 6 – 13. Swim/Bike/Run format at the Branch Crossing YMCA, located at 8100 Ashlane Way in The Woodlands. Start time is 7:30am. For more info contact lauren.jelen@ymcahouston.org or call 281-367-YMCA.

Boys and girls will compete separately in their age groups. The top three finishers, male and female, in each age group will receive a special award. All participants will receive a goodie bag, T-shirt and finisher medal. Post-race activities will include refreshments, face art, bubble station, music, games, awards ceremony and sponsor booths. Breakfast, Coffee and Concessions will be available for purchase.
