Child Predator Arrested - Thiago Domingos Modelli

CONROE, TX -- On Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Investigations Division, with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety, The La Porte Police Department, The Texas City Police Department, The Pearland Police Department, The United States Secret Service, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, executed a residential search warrant in the Harpers Preserve subdivision, located in Conroe.

The search warrant stemmed from the pro-active investigation lead by Constable Ryan Gable’s ICAC Detective related to the alleged offense of possession of child pornography. At the time of the residential search warrant it was found that the suspect, Thiago Domingos Modelli, 46, of Conroe, was in possession of thousands of videos and images which depicted sexual assault abuse of infants, toddlers, and other children. Modelli was arrested on scene and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Modelli was charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography and is currently being held on a $150,000 bond. During the investigation, it was determined that Modelli is an integrated volunteer/employee at a local Baptist Church in The Woodlands, where he assists with the youth. Additionally, it was found that the Modelli household is a known community hangout spot, with Modelli stating that up to a dozen neighborhood children would spend their days there. Notably, Modelli does not have any adolescent children of his own.
