MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- July 6th 7am update: very little change in forecast track overnight. Beryl is still expected to intensify prior to landfall and regain hurricane strength.

Today will be the day we start to see confidence in the forecast for landfall location. As this information becomes available from the National Hurricane Center, we will update you.

This mornings briefing discussed the possibility of tornados late Sunday and into Tuesday. Heavy rain for much of the county with accumulation between 6-9 inches over two days. Some isolated higher amounts are possible west of I-45. At this time we’re NOT expecting nor forecasted to see hurricane force winds in Montgomery County. Exact track will determine whether we’ll see tropical storm level winds.

Please make preparations today and tomorrow as impacts from Beryl will start to be seen Sunday evening.
