THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As part of its ongoing efforts to improve bicycling infrastructure and programs, The Woodlands Township invites all community members familiar with bicycling in the area to participate in a survey conducted by the Bicycle Friendly America Program. This survey aims to gather insights into local bicyclists' experiences and perceptions, providing valuable feedback that will assist both The League of American Bicyclists and The Woodlands Township in understanding current conditions and identifying areas for enhancement.

To participate in the survey, please visit the Bicycle Friendly America Public Survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFC_2024. The survey will be open through Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The results of the Bicycle Friendly Community award are expected in December 2024.

In 2020, The Woodlands proudly achieved Bronze status as a Bicycle Friendly Community from The League of American Bicyclists (BFC), a recognition valid for four years. This year, The Woodlands Township has set its sights on advancing to Silver status, a distinction granted to communities dedicated to enhancing bicycling opportunities for both transportation and recreation through equity, engineering, education, encouragement and evaluation. This dedication to bicycling has recently earned The Woodlands the top spot in Texas for biking in the 2024 Best Places to Bike rankings by PeopleForBikes.
