CONROE, TX -- Located just south of Downtown Conroe’s Switch, is a place to visit for lunch or dinner. It’s a cool entertainment venue with live music, and an indoor bar to gather any and all refreshments while enjoying the festivities. Sitting on a postage stamp of a lot (just ¼ acre), ‘The Table at Madeley’ is very inviting. It’s cozy, yet has all the room needed to provide for the crowds, who flock to hear the great music on offer. A trio of food trucks out front of The Table offers a diverse menu of your choosing to make for a great outing, while the bar makes sure your thirst will be satisfied at any time of day.

Owner Frank Jackson has come up with a great concept, and makes friends with anyone who enters his premise. He has been in the music industry, mostly the distribution angle, and has been involved in helping independent artists find success such as Pat Green and Conroe’s own Parker McCollum. The Table at Madeley came about from his purchase of the property in 2018, and is modeled on a similar setup in Tomball. In addition to live country music, Jackson brings in other styles of music and a comedy act on occasion, such as during the catfish festival. This October the first ‘Live at The Table’ comedy special with Nick Morrison will be filmed, for streaming on audio and video outlets.

The Table offers a nice bar, enough to handle all who enter the place. One of the drinks, ‘Ocean Water,’ was concocted by one of his bartenders, Lea Lenae, who I consider an artist. If you are looking for a wonderful tropical cocktail that is light, fragrant, and refreshing, then the Ocean Water is right for you. It’s punch-like and perfect for those who don’t want to feel any sting on its way down. It’s a favorite with the ladies who frequent The Table, and is a perfect starter cocktail for those who wish to imbibe at a moderate pace.

The Ocean Water is a mix of Captain Morgan and Malibu Rums, Blue Curacao, lime juice, simple syrup and a cherry. At first sip, you know it is something special with the feeling of the tropics, and as it pools on the tongue, the cooling flavors begin to hit their mark. On the roll, the simple sugars and lime hit the palate prepping for the soft bitter orange of the Blue Curacao, and the coconut flavoring of the Malibu rum, reinforced by The Captain’s vanilla cinnamon sugary trend to complete a wonderfully smooth and lasting finish. It’s easy to imagine yourself on a tropical beach with an Ocean Wave, pulled away from the rigors of everyday life for a moment's bliss with a sip, as waves last against your shore.

Take your time with the Ocean Water. Enjoy the experience and atmosphere at The Table. Enjoy the company you keep. Smashing that cherry adds hints of almonds and berry to the mix. It’s slight, but adds an additional depth of flavor to the cocktail, making the drink even more enjoyable.

The Table is really a relaxing place. Even on a warm afternoon, the inside is always nice and cool. And with fall approaching the outdoors will be even that much more enjoyable. Even now, the outside is equally inviting as the Sun makes its evening exit, and the stage comes alive with music as crowds fill the available spaces. And there is nothing better than listening to the music sipping on an Ocean Water on the grounds of The Table at Madeley.
