Local Walmarts will match Hurricane Helene relief donations

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Many Woodlands area residents are looking for a way to support the Carolinas’ recovery from devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, feeling helpless from afar. Now, the locally based Walmarts are making it easy to amplify support.

All Texas Walmart and Sam’s Clubs – including several throughout The Woodlands area – customers can help support the relief efforts by donating at the register in-store or online at Walmart.com. From now to October 13, Walmart will help magnify customers’ impact by matching their donations to the American Red Cross 1:1.

The support includes donations of food, water, essential supplies and grants to organizations providing relief. Walmart has committed $6 million in relief donations and is working with nonprofits and suppliers to bring much-needed resources into communities without access to power, such as free meals, WiFi hotspot, charging stations and laundry and shower services.
