17th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting November 21 to celebrate Market Street’s 20th anniversary
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The lighting of the 70-foot Christmas tree in Central Park will officially kick off the holiday season at the 17th Annual Market Street in Lights Thursday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m.
In celebration of Market Street’s 20th year of serving the community, the shopping, dining, and entertainment destination is inviting its neighbors to a festive and fun holiday party.
The lighting of the Christmas tree will officially kick off the holiday season and start Market Street’s three-minute light show, a dazzling display of flashing, multi-colored lights synchronized to holiday songs.
Special guests include the 2024 Co-Ed UIL State Spirit Championship winning Caney Creek cheerleaders, local musical performers, Elpheba from “Wicked” (opening in theaters Friday, November 22), the Elf on the Shelf, Elsa, Olaf, Cindy Lou Who, and Martha May Whovier.
Sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital – The Woodlands, Market Street in Lights will attract hundreds to witness the first “performance” of Market Street’s Christmas tree and the more than 25,000 multi-colored lights adorning the destination’s Central Park. Market Street in Lights presentation will continue nightly throughout the holiday season every hour on the half hour, from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Now in its 20th year, Market Street first welcomed guests at its debut on November 13, 2004.
