Suddenly realizing there’s no school early next week? Cordovan has you covered

THE WOODLANDS, TX – As if Election Day next Tuesday won’t have enough of an impact on local schools as it is, it may come as a surprise to some parents who haven’t recently checked the Conroe Independent School District calendar that classes are also closed the day before, Monday, November 4. While the Tuesday closure is to accommodate polling locations in some schools, the Monday closure is due to a Teacher Exchange Day.

If you’ve let the classless days creep up on you, don’t panic. One local business will be offering several options for a two-day day camp to keep your students educated, entertained, and inspired while the schools are closed.

Cordovan Art School, located at 8000 MacBeth Way near Woodlands Parkway and Branch Crossing, has put a special two-day art camp on its menu, alongside its considerable collection of arts classes and workshops. The camp – which has options to be morning only, afternoon, or full day on either or both days – provides hands-on instruction in an atmosphere that will let your 5 - 12 year olds quickly lose track of the time.
